Today I plan to make a Christmas cake- a left over kit from last year, hmmmmm.
Throws out flour, replaces with new stuff, hopes the dried fruit etc hasn’t aged too badly.
I don’t even like xmas cake much, but it would be a sin to waste good food. wendymoon63 says :
Lagrande Making a mojita syrup to take the edge off the sweetness of the ice cream. Reduce the juice of three limes (using the zest of one) with a small amount of sugar, add some chopped mint. Reduce down to a syrup and add a slug of rum to loosen it up a bit. I’ll let you know how it turns out soon
